Happy Valentines Day! I think this message is appropriate. I made this poster with my cousin Paige in mind.
The dog on here is supposed to be a mix of her two dogs Ping and Poe and yup one has David Bowie eyes.

And so happy I conquered toile! it’s been something I’ve been meaning to do for a while and it actually
wasn’t as hard as I thought (I honestly just scare myself every time I sit down to draw).

* Update: Yay! This poster was a runner up in Manifest Equality Contest. So honored, such an
amazing panel of Judges (Ed Ruscha fan would be an understatement) and great cause.

Yes, I fell off the face of the earth. Yes, I have some catching up to do. Yes, I’ll do it. I had a cold.
Anyway, I figured I’d make another for manifest equality. Next or soon i’m gonna try and tackle
my own version of toile. Stay tuned….

PS that font is custom and I’ve been using it so much it may be time to turn it into an actual font.

Inspiration is a powerful motivator, I received an email last night for Manifest Equality - an art event in L.A. that promotes awareness of basic
rights for all. I haven’t entered a contest since I was a kid and this is for a good cause which means “total no brainer”….I’ve been meaning
to turn some of my posters into series anyway so here is the first of many.

this ones for the kiddos….thought i’d change it up a bit and do some illustration/illustrator. This idea got its start
cause my little sister makes these awesome stuffed and sometimes twisted animals. I’d like to illustrate all her
animals and get a whole jungle goin.

I’ve always thought what I call the “bathroom family” was funny…I like to follow their
adventures all around the world. Sometimes they pop up in the oddest of places. BUT…
they need an update so I redesigned the “bathroom family”. May they have many
adventures to come.

I have a penchant for black and hot pink, black and gold and black and nude…if you couldn’t
already tell. Anyway, i’ve been obsessing over modifying and customizing fonts lately if only to come
close to the beauty of the wonderful typography reminiscent of Vogue headlines, Herb Lubalin and
Lou Dorfsman. They paved a damn sexy and inspiring foundation for us all to look to.

Thought I’d go a little crazy. Break some rules. Change up my color palette yada yada and I
thought Steve Jobs advice was appropriate for this one. Sometimes I think its good to let a little
“artistic flaw” take over and do its thing. Here are the results.
